Looking for a light

Today has been a rather long day, but I have a filling of fulfillment somehow, especially as I walked away from training this evening (no not because I managed to scare Stef and Salomee in the underpass) but because I was seeing what I wanted to see on the training ground.

Everyone was calm, relaxed and knew what to do.

Great finish by Jing Jing, Jolyn looking like she hasnt been out for a day, incisive calm defending by Audrey, Jie Min and Salome.

But well, as usual, I dont wanna think we're there or ready yet. Still a long way to go, but the important thing is dat we are heading in the right direction. Only worry is perhaps 2-3 injuries in the team.

First match is 11 days and 4 trainings away. An away match some more, and on away ground, not even neutral ground.

But its fine actually, my focus is to take one match at a time, one point at a time.

There is a quiet confidence in me, that is always being supressed by feelings of worry and wariness. Thats me i guess, always wanting to be over-prepared.
