Putting Things Into Perspective
I was in my usual habit of reading the papers in the toilet (while taking a shit) when I chance upon the aritcles about the cold and wet weather which has been envoloping most of South and South-east Asia. its actually caused by the Northeast monsoon winds which brought the weather along with it hence explaining the suddenness in which it came, and in which it left.
But anyways the devastation in the countries like India, Bangladesh and Indonesia, is realli realli very bad so I do regret saying how bad everything is in Singapore, when all we probably had was the occasional fallen tree and of course a super wet soccer field. Oh, but I did hear about some land slides near NUS and Bukit Timah, but luckily enough, no injuries or loss of life.
I guess the moral of the story i to always put things into perspective before moaning and groaning about one's poor fate. I think Singaporean's are most guilty of this, cos we tend to complain all the time about little stuff, which may seem big to us, but when put in a bigger picture will barely be noticeable. But then again, its all about what's around you right? I mean you do judge yourself based on wats all around you, and not wat is happening a oupleof thousand miles away rite?
Aahhh, the paradox of being Singaporean, I think sometimes we give ourselves too much credit.
Anyways sunny days are back again, so lets hope it lasts this time so dat we can all work up a bit more of a sweat while exercising, I know I am in need of dat.
Out.
