Killing time.

Recently, I found myself finding a way to kill time, so I decided to go online to shop at the auction sites like Yahoo and Ebay. I realize that its realli something interesting and the numbr of bargains you can get there is realli incredible. Of course there are a few things to look out for should u decide to shop the 2nd hand way.

1) People who are obivously trying to make a profit, and overprice their stuff. While auctioning one must always remember that 2nd hand stuff are very hard to make a profit from, rather one has to cut his losses. So its always good to underprice and allow the bidding mechanism to naturally raise the price.

2) People who seem to give very good prices only for the products to be really shabby stuff. For example i stumbled upon authentic adidas shoes for 20 bucks? Took a good look at the pics and realised it was quite shabby and already quite well used. Every product has a life, so if it has been used quiet frequently, you have to learn to spot it. Of course sometimes, it may be a matter of intuition cos certain autioneers dont put pictures. Of course another reason why the price may be so low would be because they may not be telling the truth and the item may be fake.

3) Always be as specific as possible when searching for something in particular, cos plenty of people alwyas purposely keyword spam, as in they try and label their item with as many keywords, so a search would yield their item. Irritating. Just a search of Adidas apparel will yield 17 pages worth, of which more than half isn't Adidas.

So thats what I've been doing thus far.

Am looking forward to the tryouts on Wednesday, only problem being whether we have a field to work around. Nonetheless about 61 girls signed up, so lets hope at least 30 turn up.

Working with this CCA has been realli testing in trying to set it up and drive it forward. I could do with a bit more support from the PE Dept. but its ok, somebody's gotta do this thing and do it right.

Out.
